This is Julius Jaspers

French cuisine

If there’s one thing that defines Julius, it’s sauce. Not a drizzle, not a spoonful. But tons of it. The kind that ties a dish together and makes everything on the plate make sense. A self-taught chef and the author of 26 cookbooks, Julius has spent decades proving that great food starts with great fundamentals — and ends with a delicious sauce. After graduating, his path took him from opening a restaurant in France to catering in Amsterdam and running the family business, Studio Bazar. Along the way, he became a familiar face on Dutch television, first as the host of Topchef alongside Robert Kranenborg and later as a judge on MasterChef. He’s also built and led several restaurants in Amsterdam, including Julius Bar & Grill and HappyHappyJoyJoy.
