Booking.com has joined Program
In 2023 Booking.com will relocate to its new headquarters building in central Amsterdam. To make sure that all its employees feel at home at their new office, Booking.com has selected Join Program to arrange and facilitate the complete food and beverage package.
This unique building on the Oosterdokseiland, next to Amsterdam Central Station, has been designed according to the latest standards, with sustainability and wellbeing at the core. It will have ample space to work for more than 3,400 employees, with three restaurants, an auditorium and event spaces. The building will have an open feel with green spaces throughout. So not just an ordinary place of work, Booking.com will help create a safe, inspiring and inclusive environment in which people will really want to be.
To realize this, good food and beverages are very important. Let’s not forget that the way people eat and drink also contributes to sustainability and comfort, and in equal measures.
The Join Program concept is a seamless fit with this ambition. We believe that good food is the recipe for an optimally functioning world. With our sustainable, super fresh and surprising dishes, our Food Curators and chefs will bring seasonal goodness to everyone’s plate.
Inspirational dishes for an international team
Angeline Zijlstra, Manager Workspace Services HQ at Booking.com: “We were looking for an ambitious supplier with the ability to cook varied and authentic meals throughout the year from an off site kitchen, while involving our teams in the menu.
In Join Program, we have found an innovative partner that shares our values when it comes to inclusiveness, health and sustainability. What’s more, they understand the culture and needs of our young, international team.”
Tech-based
Our Food app offers many functionalities that will make the lives of workplace, HR and office managers so much easier. Moreover, it minimizes waste. Thanks to the use of reusable packaging, Booking.com employees can also enjoy their food elsewhere. Our Food Curators team will work with this database on a daily basis to create an international, diverse and, above all, tasty Food Program, specifically for the Booking.com teams and theme restaurants. “Thanks to Program’s digital Food Platform, we can inform employees about the Food Programs, suppliers, allergens and events via their telephone and narrowcasting,” continues Angeline. “They can even give feedback, which will help make us even better at meeting their needs.”Structural contribution
Maurits Tofohr, our founder and director, compliments Booking.com on being thoroughly innovative and sustainable in its workplace management. “We are extremely proud to have been given the opportunity to put our expertise to good use on behalf of this unique campus.
The excellent collaboration between our team and that of Booking.com will keep us on our toes. And we will continue to develop and improve. Together, we can make a structural contribution to an awesome workplace and a sustainable food chain.”
